    Chila is a wildlife sanctuary and part of Rajaji National Park in India in the Pauri Garhwal district Indian state of Uttrakhand.

    It is a well known tourist place and wilderness area of Uttrakhand, between Rishikesh and Haridwar.

    It is located on the banks of the Ganga river in the heart of Shivalik hills and is a part of Rajaji National Park.

    It is home to huge elephants, different varieties of deers, wild boar, foxes and birds such as jungle fowls, peacocks and some migratory birds that are also seen on the river Ganga.

    The Wildlife Sanctuary is well known for elephants, leopards, bear and other small cats are seen along with some migratory birds.

    Chila wildlife sanctuary, is a place to be for animal and bird lovers alike.

    The best time to visit Chila would be from March - May. Cotton in summer and heavy woolens in winter are advisable. The summer season extends from March to September. The winter season is from September to February.
