Kausani is a hill station situated in the Bageshwar district of the Uttarakhand. Mahatma Gandhi called this place the Switzerland of India.

Gandhi Ashram or the Anashakti Ashram is a famous tourist spot here. This is the place where Mahatma Gandhi stayed briefly and wrote the 'Anashakti Yog'. The Ashram is situated on the upper part of the town.
Baijnath Temple ( 17 kms ) This ancient temple is situated in the centre of the town at the confluence of the rivers Sarayu and Gomti and on the banks of River Gomti.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees from far and wide come to visit this ancient temple.
Rudhradhari Cave and Falls is a beautiful waterfall just 10kms from Kausani is a must see.
Kausani offers a lovely view of the snowy himalayan mountains and is an excellent place for a peaceful summer holiday.
Kausani Uttarakhand is a part of Kumaon tourism, and the local languages spoken are Kumaoni, Gadhwali and Hindi. The best time to visit Kausani would be from March - June and September - November.
