The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary located in the Purola town of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand India .
It is well known for its natural beauty and its white leopard population.

The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary was built in the year 1955. It covers a total area of over 953 sq. km. It attract a large number of tourist, nature and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
The national park is also called the white leopard park.
We can also find Himalayan Black Bears and Brown bears ,Snow Leopards and Musk deers here in the sanctuary .
The sanctuary is also famous for its flora and fauna. Lots of medicinal plant can be found here.
It is home to almost 150-160 different bird species. It is a heaven for bird lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Govind National Park Uttarakhand is a part of Garhwal tourism , and the local languages spoken are Hindi and Garhwali. The best time to visit Govind National Park would be from Feb - March and September - November.
