    Dodham Winter Tour is a religious,family and a group tour.

    The temple gods are shifted to their winter homes Ukhimath, Joshimath, Mukhba and Kharsali. Lord Kedarnath is shifted to Ukhimath. Lord Badrinath is moved to Joshimath. The idol of Goddess Ganga is brought down to Mukhba and the idol of Goddess Yamuna is kept at the Shani Dev Temple in Kharsali during the winters.

    Dodham Winter Tour - Haridwar - 06 Nights - 6 Days



    Kartik Swami Temple

    Day 01: Haridwar - Ukhimath - RudraPrayag (215 kms / 7 - 8 hrs + 6 kms trek)

    Pick up from Haridwar - Rishikesh - Dehradun. Travel to Rudraprayag via Devprayag. Visit the Raghunath Temple in Devprayag.

    Reach Kanakchauri. Visit the temple of Lord Kartikswami. The temple is surrounded by magnificent Garhwal Himalayan peaks.

    After Darshan reach Rudraprayag for an overnight stay at hotel


    Day 02: Rudraprayag to Rampur via Guptkashi , Ukhimath ( 140 kms Drive 5 - 6 hrs )

    Deorital

    Drive to Ukhimath. Visit the Omkareshwar Temple the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath. After Darshan drive towards Guptkashi. Visit the Vishwanath Temple.

    Later drive towards Rampur and visit the Triyuginarayan Temple.

    Overnight stay in Rampur.


    • Legends believe that Triyuginarayan is the place where Lord Shiva married Parvati. A perpetual flame, lit in front of the Shiva temple is believed to have witnessed the holy matrimony. The flame is still kept alive here and is said to be burning from the tretha yug. So this makes it a temple older than the Kedarnath temple.

    • The Omkareshwara Temple is the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath and Kedarnath is worshipped here for 6 months in the winter. The temple is surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks of Kedarnath and Chaukhamba.

    Day 03: Rampur - Gopeshwar via Chopta ( 100 kms Drive - 6kms trek )

    Deorital

    Drive towards Chopta. Take a 3km trek to Deorital. Is is a small beautiful forest lake and offers a magnificent view of the mighty Chaukhamba peaks.

    Trek back and then drive towards Gopeshwar. Visit Gopinath Temple for Pooja and Darshan.

    Overnight stay in the hotel at Gopeshwar.

    • Chopta is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Uttarakhand.

    Day 04: Gopeshwar - Joshimath via Auli - ( 102 kms Drive )

    Narsingha temple

    Drive towards Joshimath. On reaching Joshimath visit Virdha Badri. ( One of the Panch Badri Temples ).

    Visit Narsingh Temple the winter seat of Lord Badrinath and Garuda Temple and also visit Amar Kalp Tree ( Oldest tree in India and is said to be almost 2500 yrs old and one of the oldest tree in India.

    Drive towards Auli. Travel in Cable Car ( own expense) to Auli. Later drive back to Joshimath for evening pooja at the Narsingh Temple.


    • Auli is a beautiful hill station which offers a magnificent view of the snow covered peaks of Garhwal Himalayas.

    Day 05: Joshimath - Pipalkoti ( 120 km / 6 hrs - 10km trek )

    Drive to Pandukeshwar for and visit the Yog Dhyan Badri Temple. Drive towards Tapovan and visit the holy Bhavishya Badri Vishal Temple. Trek starts from Saldhar village and view of the Nandadevi Temple in Lata village.

    Later drive back to Pipalkoti for overnight stay in the hotel.

    Day 06: Pipalkoti - Rishikesh Sightseeing - Haridwar ( 140 kms 7 hrs )

    Drive to Rishikesh via Srinagar and Devprayag.

    Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda and Gita Kutir).

    Drive to Haridwar. Visit Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi Temple. Haridwar local Sightseeing ( Bharat Mata Temple, Shanti Kunj, Maya Devi Mandir, Parad Shivling ). Visit Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri.

    • Devprayag( confluence of river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River).
    • RudraPrayag ( confluence of river Mandakini and Alaknanda River)
    • KarnaPrayag ( confluence of river Pindari and river Alaknanda).
    • NandaPrayag ( confluence of river Nandakini and Alaknanda River).
