Haridwar to Delhi is around 230 - 240 kms approx via Roorkee, Merrut, Muzzaffarnagar, Mohan Nagar and Delhi and takes about 6 - 7 hours.
Car/Jeep -- Hire a private taxi from Haridwar Station Taxi Stand. Have it booked from your hotel. Costly but comfortable and hassle free option. Expect Charges anywhere between ( 3000 - 4000 ) rupees depending upon the nature of the cabs. Please do not forget to check the receipt at the taxi stand prior boarding the Car.
Sharing of Car/Jeep is also available option from the Taxi Stand.
Train -- Haridwar to Delhi by train is a very good option, there are a lot of trains running daily making it quite a convenient and fast journey. The only issue with train travel is the reservation.
If your hotel can book the trains tickets for you, have them informed 3 days earlier for tatkal ( immediate ) booking.
Bus -- Travelling by bus from Haridwar to Delhi is certainly the best bet. Although the buses are a mechanical masterpiece it is still an economical and comfortable journey.
The buses can be found at the bus station which is opposite to the Haridwar railway station. They run frequently ( at least every half hour ) and charge anything between ( 250 - 300 rupees ).
