Nandaprayag is a beautiful city named after the legendary King Nanda. It is situated at an altitude of 860 mts above sea level in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India.

Nandaprayag is situated in the confluence of the Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers.

Nandaprayag is a nature's paradise and it attracts pilgrims from all over the world. It is surrounded with high mountain peaks of Dunagiri, Nanda Devi and Trishul beautiful valleys and scenic surroundings.

Places to visit in Nandaprayag

Gopaljee Temple ( 2 kms ) The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishu. It is a well known and revered temple and is visited by a large number of devotees from all over the country.

Chandika Mai Temple ( 6 kms ) The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandika ( Kali ) and Rajrajeshwari. Large number of devotees visit the shrine during the Shivratri festivals.

Nandaprayag Uttarakhand is a part of Garhwal tourism, and the local languages spoken are Gadhwali and Hindi. The best time to visit Nandaprayag would be from September - June.
